What can I do now?An Exchange with an English Speaker - https://www.interpals.net/ - Find an English speaker who wants to learn your language. You help someone learn your language and that person helps you learn English. Read in English - Start with children's books because they have the most basic vocabulary and grammatical structures. When you find a word you don't understand, look it up in a dictionary. I also recommend "Reader's Digest" for my students because it has articles on a variety of topics. Since it's a magazine, not a book, students can underline words they don't understand in the magazine, look them up in a dictionary, and write the meaning of the word in the margin of the article. This way they can review it another day. Watch TV shows and movies in English - Start with children's programs. If you turn on subtitles on your TV, you can read what you're hearing. Listen to music and radio programs in English - NPR (www.npr.org) offers radio programs on the internet. |
