A prefix is a beginning part of a word. The following is a list of 10 common English prefixes.

| a- | on | abroad |
| anti- | against | antibody |
| bi- | two | bicentennial |
| co- | together | cooperation |
| dis- | not | disconnect |
| in-, im-, il-, ir- | not | inappropriate |
| pre- | before | preexist |
| re- | again | repaint |
| un- | not | unhappy |
| under- | below | underarm |
Use one of the prefixes from the table above with a word from the box below to form a new word.

In a dictionary look up an example of a word with each of the prefixes in an English dictionary. Write sentences with with a few of these words.
