This page: Learn English words that end in a silent "e".

When the last three letters of a word are a vowel, followed by a consonant, and then the letter e, this e is not pronounced. These words are pronounced with the sound of the vowel located before the consonant. This vowel is pronounced like the name of its letter (A, E, I, O, U). We say that the vowel "says its name."
Select the word you hear.
