Abbreviations are often used in housing advertisements, as sometimes you pay per character or there is limited space for information. Read the list of common abbreviations used in housing ads. Identify the meaning of each abbreviation in the right-hand column.

Irregular verbs in the past tense
Present Past
become became
fall fell
have had
get got
give gave
write wrote
tell told
sit sat
read read
put put*

*It is pronounced the same as the present tense.

Exercise - Irregular verbs in the past tense

Write sentences in the past tense. Make sure you use the correct capitalization and include a period at the end of each sentence. There are also some verbs from the previous lesson for review.
